File an Appeal

The Ordinary Tribunal handles appeals related to decisions made under a sport organization’s internal appeal policies. It most often deals with issues such as team selection and athlete carding, but it can also address disputes about eligibility, discipline, governance, and other matters. The Safeguarding Tribunal handles reviews of decisions made under the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP). In specific circumstances, it also hears appeals, challenges or reviews of decisions by sport organizations concerning findings of maltreatment under the Universal Code of Conduct to Address and Prevent Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS). The Doping Tribunal handles matters arising under the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP). This specialized division serves as the first instance for adjudicating doping violations asserted by Sport Integrity Canada (formerly the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport or CCES) against Canadian athletes or other individuals. It is also responsible for ruling on challenges to provisional suspensions imposed by Sport Integrity Canada.
